SIXTY SIX BOOKS
THE BUSH THEATRE
10 - 29 OCTOBER 2011

SIXTY SIX BOOKS

The Bush Theatre opened its doors to its new home with Sixty-Six Books, an epic performance cycle featuring sixty six writers, twenty-two directors, and a hundred and thirty actors responding to the King James Bible in its 400th year. The cycle was curated by Artistic Director Josie Rourke in collaboration with Associate Director Christopher Haydon and began and ended with two 24-hour performances where you could experience all sixty-six responses. Several of the pieces were also chosen to be performed as part of a 12 hour vigil at Westminster Abbey including 1 Corinthians, Zephaniah and 2 John.
